Here is a video that we took on our hike to Jackass Lake as described in the post below. We had been hiking much longer than we expected and were wondering when we should just turn around when this happened......

1 Year Already!!
Jonah and I celebrated our 1st anniversary on May 31st! In honor of one year of marriage we went to the coast. We had planned to camp at Montana de Oro but when we got there the campground was full. We were told that the Morro Strand campground still had open spots but after a quick round of Rock, Paper, Scissors it was decided that we would drive all the way to Monterey that night. We made there at around 11:30pm only to check into a motel and have our car alarm go off 3 times before we were able to figure out how to turn it off!
This is the motel, the Bayside Inn, I wouldn't recommend staying there.
The next morning we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium....
Jonah touching a sea slug
This octopus was very active and fun to watch.
Jonah loved the huge tank with the sharks.
Eating a sundae at Ghiradelli's
After walking around Monterey for a little we headed back down the coast. We were planning on camping at Morro Strand but on our way we found a little campground off the 41 and stayed there instead.
Eating dinner in Morro Bay.
Our campground
We went for a hike on a trail that was right by our campsite and it took us up a mountain. As we hiked the fog rolled in and cover our view.

Stormy Skies
We had quite the lightning storm here the other night. It started out with some vibrant colors and then came the lightning...
King Wedding
Our good friend Jeremy King got married on May 9th. We were very glad to be able to attend his big day.
Overdue..
Well I haven't kept up on blogging the past month so the next couple posts will be a little "catch-up." Here is the COS dance concert from the end of school...
The dance show this semester was the Mysterious Island of Lost. For modern we were tribal island people.
