Baby Shower #2

Kirsten hosted a baby shower for me last night with the ladies at camp.  It was another fun and casual shower and I had a really good time.

We played Nursery Rhyme Jeoperdy and most of us realized that we needed to brush up on our nursery rhymes. I certainly didn't know a lot of the answers and especially not fast enough to be able to raise my hand first.  Needless to say my team lost, we blame the fact that there were two pregnant brains on our team.

A Brief Update

In less than a week Jonah and I will be living down in Visalia again.  My parents and Isaac came up on Saturday and helped us move all our stuff down to my parent's house.  We'll be living with them until we find a house to buy.  So right now we are sleeping on our pullout couch mattress on the floor in the empty infirmary.  We've been making lots of trips to Visalia to house hunt but so far the 3 offers we've made have been rejected.

Last week I was at my parent's house for the solar eclipse and took this picture.

I am now 31 weeks!  Today (May 28th) it is exactly two months until her due date.  Wow, I can hardly believe it!  She has been very active recently and her movements are getting quite big sometimes.  I had my first night leg cramp last night and it was not fun! I've had a few during the day but they've been mild and not a big deal.  But this one woke me up and in a panic of pain it took me a while to figure out how to stretch out my leg and flex my foot. Fortunately as soon as I was able to do that it stopped the cramp.  I'm still feeling pretty good, although things continue to get harder and harder such as bending over.

Baby Shower #1

My sister-in-law Sarah hosted my first baby shower yesterday.  It turned out very small but I didn't mind, it was nice to just hangout out, eat good food, and play a couple games.

A fruit baby in a watermelon stroller.

My sister-in-laws, Monique and Sarah and Monique's daughter Alanna.

A beautiful diaper "cake" that Sarah got for us. There are diapers in the center of it and blankets and burp clothes wrapped around it.

Jonah with our niece Bella, she is very shy around most people she doesn't know or see often but she's always willing to go to her Tio Jonah!

Mine and Monique's baby bumps! Monique is due with Marlynn Grace on July 2nd.

Mother's Day

Jonah treated me to a fun and relaxing first Mother's Day!  He had to work until the early afternoon but as soon as he was off it was all about me. He had the afternoon and evening all planned out and wouldn't tell me what we were going to be doing.  Jonah did the dishes and other cleaning for the day and then we went for a walk. Next we headed down to Oakhurst and saw "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" which we both enjoyed.

After the movie it was time for dinner so we headed to Vons and bought some yummy food for a picnic dinner at Bass Lake.  We also got a root beer shake from the Forks, all of it was delicious! Unfortunately the mosquitos also thought that we were delicious!

The view from our picnic table.

When we got back to the house Jonah said he had one last surprise for me that he needed to quickly set up. I walked into the bedroom to find candles lit and hearts sprinkled on the bed and I got a nice long back massage!  I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and how much he loves me and our baby.

The Begining of the End

Yesterday was the first day of my last trimester! I've been feeling pretty good recently. Most days I have a good amount of energy and Emery has been moving around a lot. Of course as soon as anyone else tries to feel her move she stops, what a little stinker!  I've been waking up very sore and achy in my back and sides in the mornings and that has been affecting my sleep a bit. I'm guessing that's not going to get any better until after she's born. Fortunately once I get up and start moving around it goes away.  At my last doctors visit my midwife said that everything was looking great and I was measuring perfectly for my due date of July 28th.
