A Special Treat

Mom brought home some wonderful strawberries this week.

They were delicious. I just used up the last 3 in a fruit smoothy and it was tasty. Of course I made the smoothy on the coldest and wettest day we've had in quite a while. Oh well, I was hot and thristy from work.

Photo Shoot With the Hubby

Jonah humored me and let me do a photo shoot with him.

The Bee Tree

Every year at this time two of the trees we
have in the yard begin to buzz!

One of the trees is outside our bedroom and we
can hear the bees without opening the window.

Wildflower

Well I have a job! I had my first day at Wildflower Cafe on Thursday and it went well. I learned how to make coffee drinks and the costumers were steady but not busy. Today was my second day of training and it was not so calm. It was a holiday and another one of the restaurants who competes with us for customers was not open because of the holiday so we were completely swamped! There was a constant line from about 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Both the owner and manager were helping us try to get food out and to the right people in a reasonable time. Unfortunately things got a bit mixed up at least once about what food was going where and when it needed to get there. We were also down one person who was supposed to be working in the afternoon but she had to go to the hospital last night. I had to stay later than I was supposed to which was ok except by the time I got home I only had about 20 minutes before I had to leave again for my massage class. This is how I felt when I got home...

Fortunately every one else thought that today was crazy, not just me, so at least I made it through probably one of the busiest days I'll have to go through.

She's a world traveler

Sarah is studying in London for the semester through Fresno State.
Dad, Mom, Jonah and I drove her to the San Francisco on Wednesday night.

The hotel we stayed in was pretty nice. This is the front room.
The bedroom.
The jungle in the middle of our hotel!

Eating breakfast the next morning
before heading to the airport.

Sarah in the airport, how she really felt.
Bye Sarah!

Massage School

I am going through a massage therapy program that is 10 weeks long and will be done with it by the end of January. Once the class is over and I finish my 110 hours of practice ($25 for an hour massage if you're interested!!) I will be a certified massage therapist. For our last class before Christmas we had a "party" and had pasta dinner and did some hand spas that our teacher wanted to try out.
Jennifer, Shelly, Suzette, and me with our hand spas.

Catch up

Since I'm behind on posting here's Christmas and New Year's combined.

Christmas with the Trevinos the Sunday before Christmas.

Baby Phillip with the hat that I crocheted for him.

Christmas with the Chandlers.

This was our first Christmas as a married couple!

We went to the snow the day after Christmas.
It was very chilly, 19 degrees!
