Moving

After nearly two years of searching we have finally bought a house!! We are so excited! After a whirlwind escrow of about 10 days we moved in August 10th.

 

Opening our front door for the first time the day escrow closed on Friday the 9th.

 

 

Here are a few pictures of the inside before we moved our stuff in.

We currently don't have internet at our house so please forgive the lack of posts recently.

Her Birthday

 I realize this post is exactly one month late today but things have been a little busy recently. I tried to document the day of Emery's birthday with pictures but didn't get as much as I wanted. Here are some of the activities we did to help her have a fun birthday.

 

We started out by having cheerios for breakfast.

Played with some cups in the kitchen.

Took a bath.

 

Walked out to the grapevines and picked grapes.





 

Took a nice nap.

When Daddy got home we went to the river to play.

We did some other things but that's as far as I got with my pictures. It's hard to believe we now have a one year old. She is our joy and delight and we've been so blessed by her little life thus far.

Birthday Party #2

On July 27th Emery had her second party for my side of the family and some friends. She started out the day right by reading some comics with Grandpa.

Jamie came early to help me set up and I was thankful she did because even with her help things weren't ready in time. Fortunately I have two sisters who quickly jumped in and frosted the cupcakes and understanding guests who didn't mind waiting in the air conditioned house while we finished up outside.

We enjoyed some food, the pool (didn't get any pictures because I was IN the pool), and relaxing and then it was time for cake.



Emery gave the first bite to her daddy.

Then she tried some.

She wasn't too sure what she thought.

The cousins came over to show her that cupcakes are yummy!

 

"I'm one!"

She tried to take a bite but didn't really get anything.

Then she was ready to be done.

Time for presents! Emery liked all of her gifts.
