Disneyland

Mine and Jamie's birthday's are only 2 days apart so we figured we should do something fun together to celebrate. Jamie suggested a trip to Disneyland because they have passes and I have a friend who works there and is able to get friends in for free (Thanks Suzette!!). We had a hard time nailing down a date we could go but finally figured out that the 22nd would work for everyone. Jonah, Emery, and I met up with the Nickells at their hotel the night before so we could have a nice morning instead of trying to wake up early enough to get there in time for the park to open. We had a lot of fun and it wasn't very crowded so we even got to go on new rides like Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land (one of our favorites for the day). I didn't end up taking many pictures, I was too busy having fun and taking care of the baby.

The girls ready to head into the park after breakfast in Downtown Disney.

On her very first ride, The Little Mermaid!

Harlow loved this ride! She would slap her hands on the bar and bounce all over the place, it was pretty cute.

Our family in front of the castle.
We got some yummy pizza before heading back to the hotel to pack up and leave. We were super tired on the drive home but made it back safely around 11:30pm.

Zion

Well we are a bit behind on our blog, but I will tell you about the trip we took to Zion about 2 weeks ago. It started out with us being nervous about how Emery would do on a 9+ hour drive. The truth is, I think she did better than we did. After what seemed like an unbelievable amount of time in the van, we finally arrived at the Watchman campground. It was right about dinner time so we hurried and set up camp then had some food.
During this process we were treated to the splendor of the sunset colors hitting the red rocks and making them even more wonderful.

Other things we enjoyed included nice fall colors...

A hike to the Weeping Rock and Emerald Pools...

Nice views of the canyons red rocks...

Playing in the river...

Attempting cool night shots without a tripod (they all turned out blurry, but this was the best)...

And of course, taking pictures of this little cutie.

Emery was a great little camper! She spent most of her time looking up at the sky and the canyon walls. She also enjoyed looking at trees.

She did have one incident on the tram. A blowout had us scrambling to her changed and in a new outfit before the next tram came around. Thanks to all hands on deck, we made it, but it was close.

Pumpkin Patch

We took the girls to their first pumpkin patch a few weeks ago.  Jamie and I had hoped for the perfect photo shoot but alas it was not to be.  The lighting wasn't very good, Emery couldn't sit up well enough, and neither girl wanted to pay much attention to the camera. Oh well, they will still be fun to look at for years to come!

They started talking to eachother.

First Party

Emery attended her first party on the 5th for Jamie's birthday.  I made her a new headband for the occasion and she looked adorable!

Color Me Rad

On Saturday I did a 5K with Heather and her kids. We had fun on our adventure, getting colored corn starch thrown at us along the route. We only took one camera so instead of stealing all of Heather's pictures that she has already posted I figured I would just suggest you go to her blog to read more about it and look at the rest of the pictures. So click HERE to check it out!

2 Month Wonder

Guess who turned 2 months on the 29th?  This little cutie....

Here is what she's been up to:
She is awake and alert more of the day.
She sleeps through the night most of the time! However...
She is restless in her sleep at night so we have to take turns sleeping by her because whoever
is nearer her doesn't get very peaceful sleep.
She is getting good at holding her head up!
She likes to be held like a "big girl" so that she can use her neck muscles.
She is showing interest in toys.
She loves to lay on her back and play.
She smiles a lot.
She likes listening to Daddy play the ukulele.
We think her laryngomalacia is slowly going away.
She loves best friend Harlow's fish toy that plays music and has a flashing light.
She likes moving ceiling fans.
She enjoys her baths and cries when it's over and time to get dressed.
She loves to be held and walked around.
She is the sweetest little girl and we are crazy about her!!
