There is a sense of excitment lingering over the both of us this week. The decision is final. Michelle and I will ride our bikes to Washington in July. We are not sure what to expect or what the future will hold but we know that we are at peace with our decision and excited. More details on that soon. Juan, Heidi, Michelle, and I went on a bike ride in search of some spring poppies today. It was a nice mellow ride and we found what we were looking for.
Michelle and I invested in some gear for our journey. This includes padded shorts which are a life saver for long days in the saddle.

We enjoyed plenty of other flowers besides poppies as well. These are called bachelor buttons im told.

You guys look pro! The poppies are beautiful too. I saw daffodils today.
