This was the third and hardest one we did. Heidi and I both struggled with the move that I am attempting in this picture. You had to get all your weight to you right leg which as you can tell was practically in my armpit. There weren't really any hand holds except one which was pretty far to the right so I had a hard time being able to use it at all. We tried a few times each and then Phillip finally gave Heidi the slightest bit of help and then she made it to the top. Naturally my Chandler competive spirit kicked in and I had to try it again. I got the same bit of help and made it as well.

Bouldering
On Friday Jonah and I decided it was past time for me to try out my new climbing shoes that we've had for about a month now. We called up Heidi and Phil and they met us at slick rock. I was excited because this was not only to try out my shoes, it was my first time bouldering!

This Just In....
(A special news announcement)
A couple of weeks ago I took the CBEST which is the first of a few tests you need to pass to become a teacher. It would also allow me to start substitute teaching. Today we recieved the results and I passed! My overall score was a 139 and you need at least a 117 to pass. The news came just in time for the holidays. What a great suprise! The end.

COS Dance Recital
This semester at COS I took two dance classes: ballet and modern. At the end of each semester there is a recital in the COS theatre. I love dancing and enjoy being up on the stage so it's always something I look forward to.

First of Many
Well Thanksgiving has finally come and gone. Michelle and I are thankful to be spending it together as our own family. Of course we are also thankful for our families and we spent time with both this holiday. Since my parents live in Santa Maria that is where we headed on Wednesday. We had a great time since having the Trevino family all in one place at one time is a rare occasion. We stayed up late and had good quality time together and shared memories and told stories and Michelle got to know my family a little better. Then on Thursday we had some great turkey and other food. Then it was time to head home. We got to the Chandler family gathering just in time for a second round of great food and fellowship. What a great celebration it has been!

I Can Ride My Bike With No Handle Bars...
Well I can't really ride with no handle bars but I can ride my bike. At least most of the time... my bike slipped on some gravel today and now I have scraped knees and hands and torn leggings. But as Phillip likes to say things like that prevent cancer so really I did myself a favor by falling.
Phillip fixed up some bikes for us from the bike shop he works at so we've been making good use of them.
A cool tree we found while riding.

The Day Before
Friday morning we got up, packed and headed up to Calvin Crest. The girls had a 12:30 appointment to get our nails done at Star Nails in Oakhurst so we stopped there on our way.
Heidi and I getting started.
The finished nails. I accidently messed up my nails twice while sitting there drying them. The first time was pretty bad so I asked the lady if she could fix them. She kindly did but the second time wasn't nearly so bad so I didn't bother her again. Diana also had a bit of an accident and had to get hers fixed too.
Natalie and Jonah waiting for the rehearsal to start. It was a lot later then was planned because we were waiting for 3 of the groomsmen to arrive.
Ready to walk down the aisle.
During a conversation "spooning" was mentioned and someone asked what spooning was, we were happy to demonstrate.
Rehearsal dinner at the Tenaya Lodge. It is a fancy place with good food. It was pleasant but a little long.
Napkin folding contest.
