Well we are a bit behind on our blog, but I will tell you about the trip we took to Zion about 2 weeks ago. It started out with us being nervous about how Emery would do on a 9+ hour drive. The truth is, I think she did better than we did. After what seemed like an unbelievable amount of time in the van, we finally arrived at the Watchman campground. It was right about dinner time so we hurried and set up camp then had some food.
During this process we were treated to the splendor of the sunset colors hitting the red rocks and making them even more wonderful.
Other things we enjoyed included nice fall colors...
A hike to the Weeping Rock and Emerald Pools...
Nice views of the canyons red rocks...
Playing in the river...
Attempting cool night shots without a tripod (they all turned out blurry, but this was the best)...
And of course, taking pictures of this little cutie.
Emery was a great little camper! She spent most of her time looking up at the sky and the canyon walls. She also enjoyed looking at trees.
She did have one incident on the tram. A blowout had us scrambling to her changed and in a new outfit before the next tram came around. Thanks to all hands on deck, we made it, but it was close.
