On July 20th Emery shared a birthday party with her cousin Marlynn for Jonah's side of the family.
The birthday girls! Marlynn is 20 days older than Emery.

There was a slip 'n' slide for the older kids and a wading pool for the little ones.
Our oldest niece Jacquelyn did some face painting.

The first thing Emery did was to daintily pick off an edible pearl and eat it.
Unfortunately both girls were very tired and had just eaten so they weren't too interested in their cupcakes.
Alanna ended up getting her face smashed into Marlynn's cupcake by their dad.
It was a little hot but it really wasn't too bad for an outside party in the middle of July in the valley.
Emery fell asleep on me while Jonah was loading the car up to go home.
